I hold a position as a full professor at the CODE Research Center for Cyber Defense at the Bundeswehr University Munich where I am heading the Group for Usable Security and Privacy (3 Post-Docs, 7 Ph.D. students). Prior to this appointment, I was an assistant professor in Human-Computer Interaction at LMU Munich. I hold a degree in Media Informatics from the LMU Munich and a Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart. In 2010 I was a visiting researcher at the Telekom Innovation Labs. I held positions as external lecturer at the JKU Linz and the University of Duisburg-Essen. Before my academic career I worked as web developer and IT specialist in the US.
